Our Story
OpenImg was founded in 2024 by Jason Pitchford, a high school student based in Florida. Driven by a passion for science and a vision of open collaboration, Jason recognized the need for a platform that could bridge the gap between researchers and the data they desperately needed. Drawing inspiration from his own experiences and challenges in accessing scientific data, he set out to create a solution that would democratize access to valuable research information.
OpenImg is founded to provide researchers with required data for experiments.
OpenImg is launched to the public allowing individuals to contribute to data repositories.
Our Team
OpenImg was solely founded by Jason Pitchford, a passionate high school student with a vision for democratizing scientific research. As a young innovator, Jason recognized the need for a platform that could bridge the gap between researchers and essential data. Currently, he serves as the only team member, wearing multiple hats to drive the project forward. Despite being a one-person team, Jason's dedication and expertise in both technology and scientific research have been instrumental in bringing OpenImg to life.
